Expensive browser games
Ever since I first saw that $25 tractor in Farmville, I have been extra careful to judge before hand just how expensive a browser games will be.
Now, tractors are NOT a necessity in Farmville. You can continue to till the land by hand as we have been doing for thousands of years.
However, in Cityville, Zinga has decided they have been too lax and amped the greed-o-meter. Every 200/500 population you need a community building and they cost either money or friends. If you’re impatient or want quick growth, your first $25 will get you to a village of 1000 people.
Enter the latest greedy browser game, which currently sits at my personal N1 position. It’s called Gunshine and it recently received extra funding from a group of VCs. With prices like theirs, I doubt they need VC money.
See this necklace for level 3? That’s barely a few minutes into the game. Its price in diamonds is 830 and 739 diamonds cost $20! So you won’t be able to buy it, if you’re on a $20-dollar budget.
At this rate, you can spend $200 and still not cover all your equipment slots at level 3!
